BCCI: Now BCCI is going to make the players playing test cricket rich. India has captured the series after defeating England in the Dharamsala Test match. After the big 4-1 win, BCCI has made a big announcement which is going to be of great benefit to the players who focus more on Test cricket. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has announced to increase the match fee from the current Rs 15 lakh to Rs 45 lakh for those players who play at least seven Test matches every season.
BCCI Secretary Jai Shah posted the information
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah posted on social media and wrote, ‘I am very happy to announce the launch of ‘Test Cricket Incentive Scheme’ for Senior Men’s.’ He also wrote that its objective is to provide financial development and stability to our players. Giving information, he said that this scheme will also be applicable to the players participating in Test cricket during the session 2022-23.
BCCI: Separate retainer fees for players
We can understand this scheme in such a way that if a player takes part in 10 test matches in a season, he will get a huge amount of Rs 4.50 crore. However, this salary will be different from the player’s retainer fee which the players receive in the annual central contract. Let it be known that there were some players who were busy preparing for IPL without giving priority to red ball cricket.
some players did BCCI ignore orders
Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Chahar were given orders by BCCI, which they ignored. Let us tell you that after being selected in the playing-11, an Indian Test cricket player gets a sum of Rs 15 lakh, while the reserve players get Rs 7.5 lakh. It should be known that there can be about 9 matches in every season, so if a player plays four of these matches, he will get an amount of Rs 15 lakh for each match and the reserve player will get half of it.
Know who will get how much?
At the same time, if a player plays five to six matches, he will get Rs 30 lakh and the reserve player will get Rs 15 lakh. The icing on the cake will be for those players who are included in the playing-11 in 7 or more matches in a season. He will get Rs 45 lakh, whereas, the reserve player will get half of that i.e. Rs 22.5 lakh.
