Bengaluru NIA Raids: NIA is in action in the case of radicalization of prisoners in Bengaluru jail. The Central Investigation Agency (NIA) raided 17 locations in seven states today i.e. on Tuesday. NIA’s raid is regarding Bengaluru Prison Radicalization case, under which efforts are being made to radicalize the prisoners in jail. In this series, last year Bengaluru Police had recovered weapons and some electronic gadgets from seven accused. Since then the police was busy investigating the case.
NIA raid in Bengaluru prison radicalization case
Actually, trained terrorists of Pakistan’s terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba are engaged in radicalizing the prisoners lodged in Bengaluru jail. In this connection, in July last year the police had arrested 5 to six people. The police had found pistols, hand grenades and ammunition from them. The police had registered a case against the accused, during the interrogation the issue of prison radicalization came to light.
In fact, NIA suspects that terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba module may be hiding at the respective locations. For this reason NIA is raiding these places. According to the media report, according to what NIA has found out in its investigation, Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist T Nasir, lodged in Bengaluru Central Jail, was working to make the prisoners violent. One of his associates, Junaid Ahmed, was also involved in this work, although he is currently absconding.
