Gambhir shared the information of his resignation by tweeting. He wrote on X, I announce the end of my wonderful journey with Lucknow Super Giants. During my tenure, I received a lot of love from all the coaches, players and support staff and I express my gratitude to them. I would like to thank Sanjiv Goenka under whose excellent leadership this team was built and who also supported me a lot. I am confident that this team will perform very well in the coming days and will make the fans of Lucknow Super Giants feel proud. Best wishes to LSG Brigade.
Later, Gambhir’s joining the team was also confirmed by the official X account of KKR. KKR wrote, Welcome back mentor Gautam Gambhir.
