Kanpur.BCCI has provided relief to Green Park which is yearning to host international matches. Green Park has been allotted three matches of Ranji Trophy, the biggest competition of domestic cricket. All three matches will be played in January-February next year. The host Uttar Pradesh team will play these matches against Bengal, Assam and Chhattisgarh. Ranji Trophy is to start from January 5, 2024. This time the team of Uttar Pradesh is in Elite Group-B. Along with it, Kerala, Bengal, Bihar, Mumbai, Assam, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are there. UP has to play seven league matches. In this, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has got the hosting of four matches. Of these four, Green Park has hosted three matches and Meerut has got one match. UP’s first match in Green Park will be with Bengal on January 12. The second will be with Assam on February 2 and the third with Chhattisgarh on February 16.

UP has to play 7 matches

At the same time, UP will face Bihar on January 19 at Victoria Park in Meerut. Ekana gets CK Nayudu, Meerut gets Cooch Vihar Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy. UPCA has given hosting of four matches of Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy to Lucknow. Apart from Ekana, Jaipuria Ground also Matches have been given. Meerut has got two matches of Cooch Vihar Trophy. All the matches of the Women’s Cup will be held in Ekana. UPCA CEO Ankit Chatterjee says that Greenpark Stadium has got three Ranji matches. Soon international matches will also be held in Green Park. All preparations will be completed for this.
