As per the circular, the company has decided to keep the plant closed from March 29 to April 2, keeping in mind the current business requirement. So that the operating costs can be minimized as well as maintenance and quality goals can be achieved. There will be closure on 29th and 30th March.

Engine production will remain halted

In the circular issued by the company, it was said that there will be closure on 29th and 30th March. There will be a public holiday on Sunday 31st March. There will be block closure again on Monday, April 1 and April 2, 2024. In this way, due to closure of the company for five days, engine production in the company will come to a complete halt. On behalf of the company management, all the department heads were asked to prepare a list of such employees who have to work during the closure days. These employees will report for duty. During block closure, 50 percent of the company’s leave and 50 percent of the employees’ leave is deducted. The amount of closure will be adjusted from the salary of the employees whose PL or CL is terminated. Employees or officers who will be called for duty during the closure will have to come to work. The entire day’s salary will be deducted for the employees or officers who are absent. That day will go as employees’ leave. He will have to take leave.

There is a possibility of block closure for 4 days in Tata Motors also, decision tomorrow

There is also a possibility of block closure at Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant from March 30 to April 3. The final decision on this is likely to be taken on Friday. Stoppage of production for 5 days at Tata Cummins and Tata Motors Jamshedpur plants will have a direct impact on the companies dependent on Tata Motors in Adityapur Industrial Area. Which are directly dependent on Tata Motors. Apart from this, Steel Strips Wheels Company based in Govindpur will also be affected. Adityapur Industrial Area (AIDA) has 90 percent such companies which supply forgings, castings, machines, rims, nuts-bolts, rubber goods, castings, supply of fiber goods etc. to Tata Motors, Cummins. Due to which 50 thousand laborers will be directly affected and 1.50 lakh laborers will be indirectly affected.
