Umran also dismissed New Zealand’s top scorer Daryl Mitchell (35 runs) in this crucial match and took two wickets for nine runs. Captain Hardik Pandya was the star with the ball for India, returning with figures of 4/16 from his four overs. It seemed that the New Zealand batsmen were batting on a different wicket. Chasing 235 to win in just 12.1 overs, he was dismissed for 66. India won the match by 168 runs. Shubman Gill played an unbeaten inning of 126 runs.
