Brij Bhushan Singh: ‘Poxo’ toon ‘clean chit’ to Brij Bhushan Singh?

New Delhi; circle body : Delhi Police on Thursday (15th) filed a charge sheet against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President, Member of Parliament Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is accused of sexual exploitation of women players. The police have filed chargesheets in two different courts, in only one of these cases the police seem to have given a ‘clean chit’ to Singh. (Brij Bhushan Singh)

In the case of sexual assault committed by fellow female wrestlers, the police filed a charge sheet of 1,000 paani in the Rouse Avenue Court. Thus, the charge sheet has been filed in the Patiala House Court in the case of sexual harassment committed by the minor wrestler. However, the police filed a report to cancel the POCSO crime with sufficient proof of race. Hearing will be held on 4th July. (Brij Bhushan Singh)

7 Female wrestler had filed a sexual harassment complaint against Brij Bhushan, a Delhi Police constable, on 21st April. After the complaint, on April 28, the police would have registered both the crimes against Brij Bhushan. On the basis of the complaint of 6 wrestlers, one crime, and on the basis of the complaint of 1 minor victim, ‘POCSO’ would have been filed.

Chargesheet has been filed against former wrestling federation president and BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh under IPC sections 354, 354D, 345A. Along with this, Delhi Police Public Relations Officer Suman Nalwa has also informed that the report has been submitted on the basis of the statement of the alleged victim and victim’s father in the POCSO case.

What is ‘Poxo’?

One of the girls complaining against Brij Bhushan would have been eligible to file a case of ‘POCSO’ against him because he was a minor. In 2012, ‘Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses’ i.e. POCSO law was enacted to protect children below 18 years of age from sexual atrocities. Or as per the law, provision has been made for minimum education for ten years and Kamal Janmathepechi (Massamal Fashi). Or it is difficult to get bail under law. Apart from this, the case is tried in the court in a speedy manner. That’s why justice is delivered quickly.

Police has clarified in 550 reports that no evidence has been found in the investigation done on the basis of complaint in the POCSO case. According to this, the police have recommended to withdraw the case registered under POCSO against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Based on the response of the father of the complainant victim as well as the response of the victim, the police have submitted this report to the court.
