Demand for cancellation of poxo case
Special Public Prosecutor Atul Srivastava said, the chargesheet has been filed under sections 354, 354D, 345A and 506 (1) of the IPC. In the case of wrestlers, two FIRs were registered against Singh on the basis of complaints from wrestlers. A case has been registered against one under the POCSO Act and a cancellation report has been filed in the case of a minor wrestler. The second FIR was registered on the complaint of several wrestlers.
Police demanded cancellation of poxo case
In the Patiala House Court, the Delhi Police filed a cancellation report on the POCSO case citing lack of evidence. Delhi Police filed a report on June 15 recommending quashing of the POCSO case against the former WFI chief. This has come to light after the minor who accused the BJP MP of sexual harassment changed her statement. The Delhi Police said that there was no supporting evidence in the case.
