Bengaluru. Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad is excited about the clash between Virat Kohli and young fast bowler Mayank Yadav during the IPL 2024 match between RCB and Lucknow on Tuesday.

In IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants has got a new fast bowler, who stunned everyone in his debut match itself. Mayank, who came out to bowl in difficult conditions, has become the bowler who bowled the fastest ball in IPL 2024.

Mayank is in the news in the cricket world after bowling the fastest ball (155.8 kmph) in the IPL 2024 match against Punjab Kings.

Mayank showcased his pace and talent to help Lucknow achieve their first win of the season. He took 3 wickets for just 27 runs in his spell. For this performance he was awarded the Player of the Match award.

Kohli, on the other hand, scored two consecutive half-centuries in three matches for RCB. He is the joint highest run scorer with 181 runs at an average of 90.50.

“I’m really excited about the battle between Virat Kohli vs Mayank Yadav. One of the best IPL debuts you will ever see. Bowling at 156 kmph,” Broad said on Star Sports’ Cricket Live show. And taking three wickets is not easy. Mayank challenged the world class batsmen.

“Now going to the Chinnaswamy Stadium, one of the best batting grounds in the world, will certainly be a challenge for any 21-year-old bowler, but that will be his real test.”

Broad also admitted that the Faf du Plessis-led team should definitely make changes to its bowling line-up for the match against Lucknow.

RCB have lost two games defending the target and won one while chasing and are ninth in the table. On the other hand, LSG are in sixth place with one win and one loss from two matches.

RCB will host Lucknow in their fourth match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

Lucknow’s record against RCB is not good. So far, four matches have been played between the two teams, out of which three were won by RCB and one by Lucknow.
