Chardham (Gangotri) is the site of the 200,000th site. 5G has been started in 2 lakh places across the country. For BSNL users, the wait for 4G (BSNL 4G) service will not last long. BSNL’s 4G services will start in the country in the next two weeks.

On October 1, 2022, 5G service was launched in India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 5G services were installed in 1 lakh sites in the country within the first five months of service launch. After three months of testing, BSNL will roll out an average of 200 sites per day. 4G network has been started at 200 places. By November or December, the 4G BSNL network would have gone through the 5G upgrade. BSNL 4G will go live in the coming weeks. Indian engineers build 4G-5G telecom stack. BSNL was the first organization to adopt these stacks. As many as 200 sites will be activated between Chandigarh and Dehradun in the next two weeks. For development of 4G network covering over 1.23 lakh locations, BSNL has placed an advance purchase order of over Rs 19,000 crore to Tata Consultancy Services and ITI Ltd. They will be installed and maintained by TCS for BSNL’s 4G network at around one lakh locations across the country.

This move by BSNL is aimed at increasing mobile coverage across the country. This will help in improving the connectivity experience for BSNL mobile customers. In addition, BSNL expects significant improvement in user experience and customer satisfaction once the planned network upgrade and expansion is completed.
