Whereas in 2021-22 it was cut by Rs 230.78 crore and this year there was a sports budget of Rs 2596.14 crore. However, later it was revised to Rs 2757.02 crore. On the other hand, in 2021, Indian players had performed brilliantly in the Olympics, in view of which it was increased by Rs 305.58 crore. Last year the total sports budget was 3062.60.

There may be an increase in the sports budget this year as well

At the same time, more and more financial help is needed for the preparation of the Olympics to be held in Paris next year, in such a situation, the government can pay special attention to sports in this general budget and can present a huge budget for sports. Apart from this, Khelo India Youth Games is going on in Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, the sports budget can be increased more than last time.
