Deoghar: An FIR has been registered at Baba Mandir police station against about two dozen unknown people including Panda Dharmarakshini Sabha General Secretary Nirmal Jha alias Mantu in the ruckus that broke out after the puja at Baba Baidyanath temple of former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi. As soon as the FIR was registered, the investigation into the case started. This action has been taken on the written complaint of District Statistics Officer Kamlesh Kumar, Labor Superintendent Shailendra Kumar Singh and District Horticulture Officer Yash Raj, who were present as magistrates during the uproar. In the FIR registered against all the unknown persons including Nirmal Jha, they have been accused of creating obstruction in government work, breaking the security cordon by forming an unauthorized gathering, abusing the police administration, instigating the mob and disrupting law and order. In the complaint, the three magistrates have mentioned that on the instructions of the DC, they were deputed at Philpaya, Exit Gate and Sanctum Sanctorum respectively for law and order regarding the arrival of Rahul Gandhi. Only Shrinath Pandit alias Pinku Maharaj, Lambodar Parihast, Sanjay Jha, Gulab Shringari and Sunil Tanpuriya were allowed to enter as priests to conduct the puja for Rahul Gandhi. After Shri Gandhi’s arrival, he was made to enter from Philpaya at 2:30 pm.

An unauthorized gathering was also formed at the exit gate and an attempt was made to break the security cordon by pushing and shoving. On refusing, the police administration and magistrates were abused and threatened. They also instigated the crowd and tried to disrupt law and order.
