Congratulating the Indian men’s hockey team for winning the gold medal in the Asian Games, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh each for each player and support staff member. The Chief Minister has announced a prize money of Rs 1.5 crore for team member Amit Rohidas. Naveen Patnaik congratulated Amit Rohidas and said that due to his excellent performance, he has become a source of inspiration for the youth not only of Odisha but of the entire country. Shri Patnaik said on Friday that the team which qualified for the Paris Olympics by winning the gold medal in the Asian Games will be given this award in recognition of its performance.
