Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh had said on Sunday that the party’s top policy making body will give its approval to the draft manifesto in the working committee meeting in which five ‘guarantees’ have been given for justice. He had said that the party will contest the elections on the issues of five justices – ‘Participatory Justice’, ‘Kisan Justice’, ‘Women’s Justice’, ‘Labor Justice’ and ‘Youth Justice’. There will be 25 guarantees which have already been announced by Congress President Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi.
Congress has released two lists of candidates so far
Congress has so far released two lists for the Lok Sabha elections. The names of 39 candidates were announced in the first list, while the names of 43 candidates were announced in the second list. In this way, names of a total of 82 candidates have been announced in both the lists.
