Villagers beat up two youths who were stealing pipes of water supply scheme in Giridih, police is interrogating, mini truck seized

Bagodar (Giridih): In Dama village of Aura Panchayat of Bagodar police station area of ​​Giridih district, villagers caught two people who were stealing pipes of rural water supply scheme on Sunday night and handed them over to the police along with a mini truck. A water tower is being constructed in Aura Panchayat under the Rural Water Supply Scheme at a cost of Rs 16 crore. There is a pipe for drinking water supply in Dama village. At 12 o’clock on Sunday night, unknown people arrived with a truck and started loading the water supply pipe onto the truck. Three people were involved in this. A villager caught sight of the pipe being loaded on the truck and created an uproar. During this time the villagers gathered. Seeing this, the people loading pipes into the truck started running away. The villagers chased away and caught two people. Taking advantage of the darkness, a thief managed to escape.

Police informed after beating
The angry villagers beat up the two thieves caught. After this the information was given to Bagodar police. Bagodar police reached the spot late in the night and took both of them into custody. At the same time, 26 pipes loaded on a mini truck were brought to Bagodar police station. Among the two arrested youth, Mo Nizam is a resident of Balotra, Rajasthan, while Ranjan Kumar is a resident of Dhanbad. Bagodar police is interrogating both the youths. It is said that some people had also come in a car to steal the pipe. But as soon as the villagers gathered, they ran away with the car. Due to the activeness of the villagers, a pipe worth about Rs 3 lakh was saved from being stolen.

Thieves are being interrogated
Police station in-charge Sukh Sagar Singh Choudhary said that two people have been arrested in the case of pipe theft. Inquiry is being done. The process of registering an FIR will be done on complaint made by the water supply contractor.
