The pair of Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh got Australia off to a great start and both shared a half-century partnership. After this, Hardik took three wickets one after the other including Smith to bring India back. Mitchell Marsh scored the highest 47 runs for Australia. Apart from them, Carey scored 38, Head scored 33, Abbott scored 26 and Stoinis scored 25 runs. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets each for India. Mohammad Siraj and Akshar Patel got two wickets each.

Today the top order batted but the middle order faltered
