Current West Indies T20 team has the potential to win the World Cup: Bravo – Dainik Savera Times

West Indies could manage just one win in the 2021 T20 World Cup in Oman and UAE and then failed to qualify for the Super 12 stage in Australia in 2022. But Bravo is happy with West Indies’ recent form. They have defeated South Africa, India and England in T20 series during the last 12 months.
That’s why Bravo thinks the Caribbean team can make a splash in co-hosting this year’s event with the USA. “I think the West Indies team has a very good chance of winning the ICC trophy,” Bravo said as part of the celebrations to mark 100 days since the start of the 2024 T20 World Cup in New York on Thursday.
‘This current group of players is one of the better teams we have put together in a long time and I believe they can take advantage of this opportunity. The Caribbean people will definitely go out and support them in large numbers and winning the trophy is very important. “In terms of experience, winning the World Cup on two occasions is one of the best feelings of my entire career, so hopefully this group can do that,” he said.
