Former national champion and Khelo India Youth Games winner Darshana Rathod finished third in qualification with a score of 71 on the first day of the women’s skeet event at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup here on Monday. Emanuela Katzoraki of Greece is on top with a score of 72 after three rounds. The remaining two rounds of the qualification stage will be played on Tuesday after which the top eight shooters will qualify for the final. The final will also be played on Tuesday itself. Maheshwari Chauhan scored 67 points. In the men’s skeet, all the shooters failed to complete the three rounds of qualification. Meraj Ahmed Khan of India is one of them. He is tied for 12th with 19 shots left in the third round. Gurjot Khangura shot 72 to finish 17th while Anantjit Singh Naruka shot 70 to finish 31st. The men’s skeet finals will also be held on Tuesday.
