David Warner replaced in the first test against Pakistan, Lance Morris the new face

Melbourne. The Australian team has been announced for the first test against Pakistan. Opener David Warner, who has been struggling with poor form in Test matches, has been included in the 14-man squad, while all-rounders Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green have both also been included in the squad. Western Australia fast bowler Lance Morris is the new face in the team.

Off-spinner Nathan Lyon, who was ruled out with a calf injury during the Ashes series, has returned to the team. He replaces Todd Murphy. Green is included as additional batsman in the team and Morris and Scott Boland are included in the team as additional bowlers.

Alex Carey, who lost his place to Josh Inglis during the ODI World Cup, continues as the wicketkeeper in Test matches. Last week, while playing for South Australia, he had played an innings of 81 runs against Victoria.

Meanwhile, the team’s new name fast bowler Morris is also recovering from injury. He has played only two Marsh Cup matches and three Sheffield Shield matches this year. However, the medical team has now declared him completely fit.

Warner wants to bid goodbye to Test cricket from the third match of this series, which is to be held in his home ground Sydney. His test average in the last two years is less than 30. However, the selectors believe that he is currently one of the two best available opening batsmen in the country.

Marcus Harris, Matt Renshaw and Cameron Bancroft are strong contenders to replace him. However, he will be seen playing in the Prime Minister’s XI team against Pakistan, which is starting from this Wednesday.

Green is the only player in the 14-member Test squad who will also play in the practice match. He recently played an inning of 96 runs for Western Australia against Queensland. Australian coach Andrew McDonald has indicated that Marsh and Green could also play together in the Test XI after Warner’s retirement. However, for this the batting order will have to be moved up and down a bit.

The first Test against Pakistan starts from December 14 in Perth.
