Deadlock continues in IOA, nine members of the Executive Council ban entry of unauthorized persons

The ongoing infighting in the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) took a new turn today with nine members of its Executive Council issuing a notice to unauthorized persons not to enter the headquarters. This notice was put up at the IOA office after the meeting of the Executive Council members.
IOA President PT Usha and most of the Executive Council members have been at loggerheads since the appointment of Raghuram Iyer to the post of CEO on January 6. Iyer has previously been the CEO of Rajasthan Royals in IPL. The notice, signed by nine members of the Executive Council, reads, “This notice has been issued to inform that entry of unauthorized persons into the IOA office is prohibited.” ,
The notice is signed by Senior Vice President Ajay Patel, Vice President Rajlakshmi Singh Deo and Gagan Narang, Treasurer Sahdev Yadav and members Dola Banerjee, Harpal Singh, Yogeshwar Dutt, Amitabh Sharma and Bhupinder Singh Bajwa. It is understood that Usha is not in Delhi right now but she has been informed. After Iyer became the CEO, 12 out of 15 members of the Executive Council had alleged that Usha had put pressure on their appointment, while Usha had described these allegations as shameful.
