I was not doing any cricket activity so I was not prepared for the Afghanistan series. I had not practiced for a month. He said, ‘I went to NCA and started practicing. I am completely fit now. Everything is fine and I have trained hard for the IPL and World Cup.

Chahar said, ‘I could not play in two T20 World Cups due to injuries. If I had been completely fit, I would have been a part of the World Cup team also. In any team combination, there is always a need for a bowler who can bat at number seven, eight and nine. I have done this and scored runs for the Indian team. Chahar has a special fondness for Mahendra Singh Dhoni and he says that the Chennai Super Kings captain has a hand in improving his career and prolonging it. He does not want this great cricketer to retire from IPL. Rather he should play for two-three more years.
