New Delhi, , In a thrilling Women’s Premier League match, UP Warriors managed to defend the lowest score so far in the tournament by taking three wickets each in the last two overs and defeating Delhi Capitals by just one run on Friday. Deepti Sharma took four wickets for 19 runs in her four overs with three wickets in four balls in the 19th over.
In the match played here at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Deepti also played a quick inning of 59 runs in 48 balls and played an important role in taking the Warriors’ score to 138/8 in the stipulated 20 overs.
In a thrilling match, Delhi needed 15 runs in the last two overs to win, but Deepti walked three batsmen in the 19th over and pushed the host team on the backfoot on a sluggish pitch.
