New Delhi. Delhi government will give Rs 1 crore to Indian Kabaddi captain Pawan Sehrawat. Pawan is being given this honor for his good performance in the recently held Asian Games. Honoring him on Sunday, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that many congratulations to Pawan Sehrawat for his excellent work. He brought glory to Delhi and the country along with his village.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that Pawan Sehrawat played Kabaddi not only in the Kabaddi field but also outside. Everyone knows that after the games, medals were announced for some other country. Then Pawan Sehrawat fought with the Asian Games participants and brought a medal for India. Their struggle is visible. It is not just about sports. If there is injustice anywhere in life, Pawan will come forward and provide justice there too. Delhi government will give Rs 1 crore to Pawan Sehrawat.

Seven players from Delhi have won medals in different fields in the Asian Games, a program will soon be organized in their honor. CM said that when a player wins and brings a medal, many people give rewards, but the real problem occurs before winning the medal. When a player is struggling, there are very few governments that come forward to help those players. In Delhi, we have made three types of policies to enhance the talent of players.

CM Kejriwal said, “One of our schemes is Mission Excellence. Under this, the player who brings a medal at the national level is given Rs 16 lakh a year to prepare for the international level, so that he can do his own coaching and hire good coaches.

He said that when he went to villages during elections, the biggest demand was to develop sports facilities. Our government has made Bawana Stadium magnificent. New sports complexes have also been completed in Najafgarh, Kair, Mundela, Prahladpur and synthetic track has been completed in Putkalan. Sports complex in Katevada has been approved, will be built soon. Similarly, sports complexes are being built at many other places including Mitraon, Jharauda Kalan and Samastpur.
