The final match took place between Delhi and Haryana on the last day of the National Women’s Kho-Kho competition under the four-day Asmita Khelo India running at Tathagata Gyansthali Senior Secondary School, Atarra in Banda, Bundelkhand. In which amidst tough competition, Delhi defeated Haryana and captured the trophy. Teams from 12 states were participating in the competition. UP stood third in the competition.
Teams from Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan reached the Asmita Khelo India Senior Women Kho-Kho League semi-finals. The first semi-final took place between Haryana vs Uttar Pradesh. In which Haryana won by 18 points. The second semi-final match took place between Delhi vs Rajasthan. In which Delhi won by 40 points. The match took place between Rajasthan vs Uttar Pradesh to get the third place. In which Rajasthan won. After this, there was a final match between Delhi vs Haryana which was very tough.
International players were also playing for both these teams, so the competition was very exciting. Ultimately Delhi prevailed and won by 13 points. The best attacker in this entire competition was Nasreen Shaikh Jersey No. 7 Delhi, who has recently received the Arjuna Award from the President in 2023. Along with this he is also a gold medal winner. After this, the best defender was Shahnaz jersey number 10 of Delhi. Player of the Tournament was Meenu jersey number 8 of Haryana and Moment of the Award was jersey number 12 Anju and jersey number 13 Pinky of Uttarakhand.
Mahendra Singh Tyagi, General Secretary of Indian Kho-Kho Association and Shiv Sharan Kushwaha, Chairman of the school, honored the first place Delhi with a trophy. Manoj Gupta Ramlakhan Kushwaha Chandrakala Kushwaha honored the second position team Haryana with a trophy. Ashok Tripathi, Lakshmi Kant Shukla, Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta, Washif honored the third place team Rajasthan with a trophy. Uttar Pradesh was honored with trophies by Ravindra Sharma, Vipin Rai, Shivanand Nayak, Narendra Tyagi.
