Eknath Shinde removed from the list of BJP’s star campaigners

Lok Sabha Election 2024: After the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, all the parties have started preparations. Meanwhile, a big news is coming out from Maharashtra. According to media reports, BJP has removed Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar as its star campaigners for the Lok Sabha elections in the state, following a letter from the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Maharashtra. It has been said in the letter that star campaigners can only be from their party. Leaders of other parties cannot be included in such a list.
New list of star campaigners submitted to the commission
A letter was recently written to all district collectors and district election officers. In this letter, the state CEO had said that the star campaigners should be from the same party. For this, reference was made to the Representation of the People Act, 1950. Meanwhile, the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has submitted a revised list of 40-star campaigners to the Election Commission. The names of Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar are not in this list.

Elections will be held in five phases in Maharashtra
Let us tell you that on behalf of BJP, National General Secretary Arun Singh had submitted the list of 40 leaders to the Election Commission as star campaigners for the Lok Sabha elections on 26 March 2024, but it was brought to the attention of the election inspectors by the CEO that the star campaigners Must be a member of the concerned party. It is noteworthy that voting for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra will be held in five phases between April 19 and May 20.
