New Delhi. England’s young right-handed batsman Harry Brook has pulled out of the upcoming season of the Big Bash League (BBL) due to his increasing workload due to international commitments.

Harry Brook was included by the club as their second choice through an overseas draft in September this year. Brook was set to join the Stars for seven BBL matches after being part of England’s tour of the West Indies in December.

Melbourne Stars general manager Blair Crouch said, “Naturally we are disappointed that Harry has withdrawn from the BBL. But, we understand his decision given his increased workload. We obviously think very highly of Harry.” Ratings and we would have loved to see him at the MCG this summer alongside Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis. We wish him all the best for his upcoming international commitments.”

The BBL 2023-24 season will begin on December 7 and end on January 24.
