London. World Cup runners-up France beat Holland 4-0 in their opening match of Euro 2024 qualifiers, while Belgium thrashed Sweden 3-0 thanks to a Romelu Lukaku hat-trick.

Five of Holland’s players were sent home on the eve of the match after contracting the flu virus. According to the report of Xinhua, Kylian Mbappe took over the captaincy of the French national team for the first time. Antoine Griezmann opened the account of France after two minutes. Six minutes later, defender Diot Upamecano scored the second goal.
