Everything we see is a context.: Kohli’s post after tiff with Gambhir

New Delhi | Virat Kohli is once again in the headlines. After the match played on Monday between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2023, Virat Kohli’s ‘serious’ altercation with Gautam Gambhir became the talk of the town. Kohli and Gambhir had a heated argument after the match and other players had to intervene to separate the two.

The incident happened after RCB defeated LSG by 18 runs in a low-scoring thriller. Gambhir and Kohli were then seen having a heated argument and players from both the teams had to intervene. First, Gambhir pulled an LSG player who was talking to Kohli and separated him from Kohli.

Videos have surfaced on social media in which Kohli and Gambhir are seen arguing. LSG mentor Gambhir was seen voicing his displeasure over something Kohli said, after which the LSG players stopped their former India teammate from proceeding.

Meanwhile, Kohli posted a note on his social media handle. In this post he quotes the former Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius who ruled from 161 to 180 AD. He was also a philosopher.

In his Instagram story, the former captain said, everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see in a context is not necessarily true.

Earlier, Kohli had an altercation with LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq during their post-game handshake.

However, both Kohli and Gambhir have been fined 100 per cent of their match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct, while LSG bowler Naveen has been fined 50 per cent of his match fee.
