Five injured in separate road accidents in Lakhisarai

Five people were injured in two separate road accidents in Barhiya, Lakhisarai on Wednesday. The first accident occurred near Darouk Pool on the avoidable rural road of the block. Where a tempo went out of control due to tire burst. In this incident, two women including a matriculation student traveling in the tempo were seriously injured. Whereas, the second accident took place near Ramnagar gas warehouse on NH 80. Where three people including a teacher were injured in the collision between two tempos. After the accident, all the injured were taken to the hospital.

According to the information, on the last day of the matriculation examination being conducted at the only examination center located in Barhiya Nagar area, many girl students, their family members and rural women traveling on a tempo were going from Barhiya to Nathanpur after giving the first shift examination. Meanwhile, as the tempo reached near Darouk Pool, the rear tire of the tempo burst, due to which the vehicle went out of control. Everyone sitting on the tempo fell on the road. In which two women including a student were seriously injured, with the help of local villagers, all the injured were brought to Barhiya Referral Hospital for treatment.
From where the student was referred to Lakhisarai Sadar Hospital for better treatment due to serious head injury. The injured student was identified as Gunjan Kumari, daughter of Brahmdev Mahato, resident of Nathanpur and the injured woman was identified as Shobha Devi, wife of Brahmdev Mahato and Jaya Devi, wife of Raju Mahato, both of Nathanpur. It is said that another student and a woman were also traveling in the tempo. But they did not suffer any loss and went to their homes in other vehicles.

Accident due to negligence of tempo driver
On the other hand, Jaitpur High School teacher Kumari Anu told that they were going to the university in a tempo. Despite repeated refusal, the driver was not driving the tempo properly. He hit the tempo coming from Jaitpur. Due to which the teacher and the student fell from the tempo and got injured. However, the driver managed to escape with the tempo. All the injured were taken to the hospital. From where everyone was discharged after first aid.
