Sources have told Bloomberg that Ruchir Dave will now replace Gary Geaves. Gary, however, will serve in an advisory role. Earlier in December, it was also being said that Apple’s Vice President of Product Design, Tang Tan, would also leave the company in February. He played a role in the design of many Apple products like iPhone, Apple Watch and Airpods.
However, Ruchir Dave reaching the top position in the audio division is significant for India. Because Ruchir’s education background is from India. It is written in his LinkedIn profile that Ruchir studied from Sharda Mandir, Ahmedabad from 1982 to 1994. He also graduated from Dalpatbhai College of Engineering, Ahmedabad in 1998 and went to Penn State University for further education.
Currently, Ruchir is leading the engineering team in the audio division at Apple. Whereas he joined Apple in 2009. He is a senior director there since 2021 and can now play the role of Vice President.
