Four Indian para shooters secure quota for 2024 Paris Olympic Games

The Indian shooting contingent secured four quota places for the Paris Olympics at the 2023 WSPS World Championships here with ace shooter Manish Narwal also winning an individual gold in the men’s 10m air pistol.
Khel Ratna awardee Narwal had won the gold medal in 50 meter pistol at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Other para shooters to earn Paris Paralympics quota places are Nihal Singh, Ameer Ahmed Bhatt, Rudransh Khandelwal.
Nihal won bronze in the 25m pistol while he, Rahul Jakhar and Aamir Ahmed Bhatt won gold in the team event. Rudransh Khandelwal ensured Paralympic quota with a silver medal in 50 meter pistol. He along with Rahul Jakhar and Akash secured second place in the team category. Narwal also topped the 10m air team event while his trio of Santosh Gande and Akash won the silver medal in the team event.
The pair of Nisha Kanwar and Narwal won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, while Rubina Francis won the silver medal in the 10m standard pistol. The trio of Rubina, Pooja Aggarwal and Akash won the team gold in 10 meter standard pistol.
