Good news for Team India, David Warner out of T20 series against India

New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Australia Cricket team’s explosive opener David Warner has withdrawn his name from the upcoming 5-match T20 series against India. The first T20 match of the series between India and Australia will be played in Visakhapatnam on 23 November. Warner, who performed brilliantly in the World Cup 2023, has decided to return home. Warner being out of the series is good news for the Indian team. Left hand opener Warner is in excellent form at the moment. He scored more than 500 runs in the World Cup.

David Warner out of T20 series against India: David Warner will return home to prepare for the Test series against Pakistan (AUS vs PAK) to be played in December-January. Cricket Australia gave this information on Tuesday. Australia recently defeated India to capture the World Cup trophy for a record sixth time. Warner batted brilliantly in the World Cup. He scored a total of 535 runs. 37 year old Warner did not miss a single match in the World Cup.

When Cricket Australia announced its 15-member squad for the T20 series against India, Warner was a part of that team. But now he has decided not to play the T20 series in India for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan. David Warner will be seen in the Test for the last time. He will say goodbye to Test after the series against Pakistan. The Australian team will be led by 35-year-old wicketkeeper Matthew Wade. India has also announced its squad for the T20 series against Australia. Team India will be commanded by Suryakumar Yadav while the role of vice-captain will be taken by Rituraj Gaikwad.
