The Indian team defeated Uzbekistan by a huge margin of 16-0 in its first match in Pool A on Sunday. No player from Uzbekistan could score a goal in the match.
For the Indian team, Varun Kumar scored the maximum four goals (12th, 36th, 50th, 52nd minutes). Apart from them, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay scored three goals (7th, 24th, 53rd minute) and Mandeep Singh scored three goals (18th, 27th, 28th minute) and Sukhjit Singh (37th, 42nd minute) scored two goals. Abhishek scored one goal each in the 17th minute, Amit Rohidas in the 38th minute, Shamsher Singh in the 43rd minute and Sanjay in the 57th minute.
