The Australia cricket team arrived in India a few days ago for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which is set to begin on February 9 in Nagpur. Recently, reports surfaced that guests have been practicing with a ‘duplicate’ of Ashwin named Mahesh Pithia. Pithia’s bowling action is very similar to Ashwin.
Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has always done well against Australia in Tests as he took 89 wickets in 34 innings against the Kangaroos.

Former India opener Wasim Jaffer, reacting to reports of going the extra mile to counter Ashwin, tweeted that the Border-Gavaskar Trophy hasn’t started yet and the Australians are already scared of Ashwin.
Responding to Jaffer’s tweet, former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh posted a cryptic response. Harbhajan tweeted a picture of the cracked pitch and wrote, “It’s the biggest thing on his mind.”

Harbhajan’s tweet did not go down well with the fans and many claimed that it was aimed at undermining Ashwin.
Harbhajan played 103 Tests for India and he played his last Test for India in 2015. The star off-spinner will retire from international cricket in December 2021.
