Hardik Pandya said in a conversation with Star Sports that I am a cricketer who does not start 2-3 months before any competition. I also started the World Cup campaign about a year ago. I changed my routine only one and a half years ago. I was working as per my plan. But that was a strange injury. When I was injured it was a 25-day injury rehabilitation period. I was missing the World Cup but I insisted because I had to come back and I informed the team that I would be back in 5 days.
IPL 2024: Got injection in ankle for pain
Hardik Pandya further told that I got injections at three different places on my ankles. I had to have blood drained from my ankle because it was congested and the swelling was very severe. Hardik told that due to his efforts, his injury got worse and he had to stay away from the field for months. He said that I did not want to give up and wanted to give my best for the team. Then I realized that if I kept pushing myself further, I could get injured for a long time.

He said that if there was even one percent chance, I would have definitely stayed with the team and given my best. I had this problem again and my injury became a three month injury. I tried to run with the same injury that prevented me from walking, which made things worse. Hardik told that I tried to push myself for 10 days, took painkillers and tried to ensure my comeback and how I can join the team. For me, playing for the country is the biggest pride. My dream is the World Cup and we missed it. Not being with the team will always be a big burden on my heart.
