On the other hand, the doctors and health workers working in the Community Health Center Barharwa are also showing gross negligence in performing their duties. The result of negligence was that apart from the hundreds of pieces of iron and folic acid syrup, iron and folic acid tablets, ferrous sulphate and folic acid tablets IP, ferrous sulphate and folic acid syrup available in the hospital, Hartika powder, glucose, Nirodh and other medicines expired. Has occurred.

Expired medicines are kept in the under construction building.

The health workers have kept those medicines in a room of an under-construction building within the hospital premises. These medicines have expired in the year 2019 itself. On one hand, the government makes all the arrangements for the health of the patients coming to the hospital. Lakhs of crores of rupees are also spent in the purchase and sale of medicines. But the health workers here ignore all these things. Perhaps this is the reason why misuse of government funds has been clearly seen in this health centre.

Questions are being raised on hospital management

The question is being raised on the hospital management that when so many medicines were not needed then why more medicines were ordered than required. If it was not being distributed here then why was it not sent to other health centres. Let us tell you that there have always been complaints of shortage of medicines in the Community Health Center. But even if essential medicines are available, they become useless.

Almost all the medicines have expired in the year 2019……

These medicines, kept in the closed room under construction of Barharwa CHC, have expired around the year 2019. Among these, the batch number of Iron and Folic Acid Tablet IP 100 mg + 0.5 mg is JHTU 269, MFG 09/2017 and expiry 08/2019. Whereas, the batch number of Ferrous Sulphate and Folic Acid Tablet IP is ELP 151, MFG 2/2017 and expiry 1/2019. Batch number of Ferrous Sulphate and Folic Acid Syrup is OBLL/99, MFG 06/2015 and expiry 11/2016. The batch number of Iron and Folic Acid Syrup is IFSG 1-17-236, MFG 12/2017 and expiry 05/2019. Apart from this, other medicines including Haratika Churna, Glucose, Nirodh have also expired.

Case Study 01:-

Expired medicines have already been found in Barharwa CHC. In the month of November 2020, hundreds of expired iron and folic acid syrups were recovered in a room of the under construction quarter building of Barharwa CHC. After the matter came to light, a 3-member team also investigated but within a few days the matter was put on hold.

Case Study 02 :-

In the month of May last year 2023, hundreds of pieces of expired tablets of iron and folic acid were found in huge quantity in the garbage near a scrap shop on Barharwa Farakka main road. After the news was published, someone removed all the expired medicines from that place and cleaned the place. There is a possibility of cover up in this matter also.

What does the civil surgeon of the district say?

When the district civil surgeon Dr. Arvind Kumar was asked about this matter, he said that how the medicine has expired, this matter will be investigated. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the investigation.
