Bengaluru, 25 January (HS). Hockey India on Thursday announced a probable group of 40-players for the upcoming Junior Men’s National Coaching Camp, scheduled to begin on January 29, 2024, at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Bengaluru. This new core group was selected on the basis of their remarkable performance during the domestic championships held in 2023.

Under the guidance of coach Janardhan CB, the core probable group of players is scheduled to assemble on January 29 for a 20-day training camp, which will conclude on February 17. Notable selections include five goalkeepers, including Prince Deep Singh from Hockey Punjab, Bikramjit Singh from Hockey Chandigarh, Adarsh ​​G from Kerala Hockey, and Ashwani Yadav and Ali Khan from Uttar Pradesh Hockey.

Regarding the upcoming camp, coach Janardhan CB said, “The selection process was rigorous considering their performances in the domestic championship. However, I am confident that the selected 40 players will bring a wealth of talent and dedication. Now, as we head into the coaching camp are ready, our focus will be on honing skills, inculcating tactical awareness and fostering a winning mentality among these young athletes.”
