New Delhi, 07 January (HS). Hockey India on Sunday announced the 41-member core probable group for the Junior Women’s National Coaching Camp, starting on Monday (January 8) at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Bengaluru. The new core probable group has been selected based on their performance in the domestic championships to be held in 2023.
According to Hockey India, the players will report to coach Tushar Khandkar on January 8 for a month-long camp that will end on February 6. Khandkar said that this core group has been selected on the basis of the players’ performance for their respective state teams in the Hockey India Junior Women’s National Championship, Zonal Championship as well as the Junior Women’s Academy National Championship. I have always believed that there is no dearth of talent in India. I look forward to working with this new group as these players will be monitored closely and developed with a focus on the next FIH Junior World Cup.
