It is learned that apart from Kaldas, Aikman is also a strong contender for the post, who has not been paid by the Pakistan Hockey Federation for the last 10 months. When asked whether the name of the Indian coach would also be considered for the post, the source said, “You tell me who is the best coach in India at the moment.” If you give the name, we will definitely consider it.

Hockey India had invited applications for the post of head coach on its website a few days ago. Hockey India has advertised on its website that the successful applicant will be hired by Hockey India / Sports Authority of India on contract till 31 December 2024, ie till the Asian Games 2023 and Paris Olympic Games 2024. The last date to apply by post is February 15. Reid’s contract was also till the Paris Games, but it was terminated prematurely following India’s failure to qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals.
