New Delhi: Hockey India on Sunday announced a 41-member squad for the Junior Women’s National Hockey Camp starting on Monday at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) campus in Bengaluru. According to a Hockey India release, the players will be selected on the basis of their performance in the domestic championship in 2023. The players participating in this month-long camp will have to report to coach Tushar Khandekar. The camp will end on February 6.
Khandekar said, “The players have been selected on the basis of their performance in Hockey India Junior Women’s National Championship, Regional Championship as well as Junior Women’s Academy National Championship and Regional Championship.” He said, “I believe from the beginning that There is no dearth of talent in India. I am looking forward to working with these new players. These will be prepared keeping in mind the next Junior World Cup.
