The design for this has been finalized. About Rs 24 crore will be spent on this ground. Work on this will be started soon. Now hockey players of Bihar will not need to go to other states to train on Astroturf grounds. An excellent administrative building will also be built in this ground, from where all sports activities will be conducted. At the same time, construction will also be done on Archi Corridor in this ground.

International level hockey field will be built

Efforts to build an international level hockey field in Bihar have intensified. It will be constructed on the basis of international standards. The length and width of the Astroturf hockey ground will be 55 meters and 91.40 meters respectively. Along with this, there will also be a warm-up ground for hockey, whose length and width will be 55-55 meters.

There will be athletics ground along with football

There will also be a 200 meter football cum athletics ground next to the hockey ground in the Physical Education College. Along with football practice, athletics activities will also take place here. At the same time, 20 meter wide and 40 meter long handball, 15 meter wide and 28 meter long basketball ground, 18 meter wide and 9 meter long volleyball ground and 16 meter wide and 27 meter long Kho-Kho ground will be made.

There is no Astroturf in Bihar

There will also be arrangement for floodlights in the Astroturf hockey field and international level facilities will be provided. DPR of infrastructure is ready. It is noteworthy that after the separation of Jharkhand from Bihar, there is not a single astroturf field for hockey in Bihar. There is an Astroturf hockey field in Danapur Cantt but only Army players are allowed to play there.
