IAMAI report reveals, more than 707 million users of OTT platforms in India, number of rural users is more

Internet in India 2023 report has been presented in a meeting of IAMAI-KANTAR. It has been claimed in this report that voice search command is becoming very popular among the users in India. It says that 25 percent of some urban internet users search by voice.

According to the Internet in India 2023 report, music is at the first position in terms of most vocal searches on the Internet. About 71 percent of music searches are being done through voice commands. Whereas 49 percent of video searches and 39 percent of news searches are being done through voice commands. Whereas voice search in online information is 37 percent.

This report was released at the India Digital Summit 2024 organized at Jio World Convention Centre. The report shows more people accessing video content only on Internet devices compared to traditional linear TV. That means users are liking watching videos on the internet more than traditional TV.

According to the India in Internet 2023 report, 707 million OTT, 621 million communication, 575 million social media, 438 million online gaming, 427 million net commerce, 370 million digital payments and 24 million users use online learning services on the internet.

Also, reports claim that participation of rural India has also been seen in using the Internet.
