IND vs AUS: India’s fourth wicket fell at 185, 92 runs needed to win – Dainik Savera Times

Mohali: Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad gave a very good start to India. Both have scored 136 runs in 21 overs for the first wicket. Both the batsmen are playing on 136 runs.

3. Shubhman Gill – 74 runs: Gill was bowled by Adam Zampa on the third ball of the 26th over.
4. India got its fourth blow in the 33rd over at the score of 185. Pat Cummins got Ishan Kishan caught by Josh Inglis.

Australia had given India a target of 277 runs.

Thanks to the lethal bowling of Mohammed Shami (five wickets for 51 runs), India restricted Australia to 276 runs in 50 overs in the first one-day match here on Friday. At the IS Badra Stadium, Shami took wickets of the visiting team at regular intervals, due to which the Australian team failed to score a huge score. He gave the first blow to Australia by dismissing Mitchell Marsh (4) in his first over, however David Warner (52) and Steve Smith (41) managed the innings by making a partnership of 94 runs.

Warner was caught by Shubman Gill standing at long on on the ball of Ravindra Jadeja, after which Shami clean bowled Smith at the other end. Ravichandran Ashwin, playing an ODI match after a long time, took the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne (39) when Labuschagne was stumped while trying to play his tempting ball out of the crease. Josh Ingles (45) became the victim of Bumrah while Cameron Green (31) and Adam Zampa (2) lost their wickets while trying to steal runs. Shami also dismissed Marcus Stoinis (29), Matthew Short (2) and Shaun Abbott (2).

Australia had lost nine wickets at 256 runs in the 49th over but captain Pat Cummins (21 not out) hit the last eight balls hard and added 20 runs. In his short innings, he hit two fours and a six in just nine balls, due to which the Australian team was successful in getting a score of 276.
