Ahmedabad (Best Hindu News): Indian team’s young opener Shubman Gill’s excellent form continues. He scored a century on the third day of the Ahmedabad Test against Australia. After sitting out the first two matches of the Border Gavaskar series, Gill replaced KL Rahul in the playing XI for the Indore Test. He could not do anything special in that match. But he has played a century at his home ground of IPL, Narendra Modi Stadium.
Shubman Gill, who started the innings with captain Rohit Sharma, completed his second Test century off 194 balls. Gill, who made his Test debut on the 2020/21 Australia tour, scored his first century against Bangladesh in December last year. Even after this, after the return of captain Rohit, he had to be out of the playing eleven. But due to the continuous poor form of KL Rahul, he got a chance to play. Gill completed his century by hitting 10 fours and a six. He is the second Indian batsman after Rohit Sharma to score a century in this Test series.
