Kohli scored 186 runs in 364 balls with 15 fours while scoring a hundred after 40 months in Test cricket. Kohli scored his last Test century on 22 November 2019 against Bangladesh in Kolkata. Akshar supported Kohli, scoring 79 runs off 113 balls with five fours and four sixes, while the two shared a valuable 162-run partnership for the sixth wicket. India were trailing by 87 runs when Akshar came out to bat at number seven, but his partnership with Kohli put the team in the lead.
Australia have scored two runs without losing a wicket till the end of the fourth day’s play. Travis Head scored three runs while Matthew Kuhneman remained unbeaten on zero.
