[ad_1]
Team India for the second time in a row World Test Championship (WTC) If the team wins the third Test against Australia starting here on Wednesday, the fast bowlers will have the final match of the series in Ahmedabad to prepare for the final in London in June. Custom pitch can be prepared. To make India an automatic place in the WTC final Border-Gavaskar Trophy I have to beat Australia 3-0 or 3-1. The team is ahead 2-0 after two matches.
Rohit Sharma said this
Indian captain Rohit Sharma does not want to show overconfidence ahead of the third Test but he said that the team has discussed playing in conditions similar to the conditions in England in the fourth Test against Australia in Ahmedabad. There is a strong possibility that India may face Australia in the WTC final. Talking to the media here, Rohit said, it will actually be a different environment (to face Australia in England) for both the teams. Definitely there is a possibility (preparing for Ahmedabad WTC final).
The final of the World Test Championship will be held from June 11
Rohit said that we have already talked about it. Our players need to be prepared for those situations. The WTC final will be played at The Oval in London from June 7 to 11, immediately after the IPL. Rohit Sharma said that Shardul Thakur becomes an important member of the team in foreign conditions. He said, Shardul Thakur is an important player in such circumstances. He is part of our plan. We don’t know how ready he is because (laughs) he just got married. We don’t know how many overs he has bowled. But that is certainly included in our plan.
India hopes to win another match
He said, if we get a satisfactory result here (Indore), then we can definitely think of doing something different in Ahmedabad. But we haven’t reached there yet. We can think ahead only after winning this match. India is on its way to win its 16th consecutive series at home. Rohit feels that reaching the final of the WTC will be a big achievement for his team, as it has not been easy to win even in home conditions.
not too excited about the result
He said, yes, there are home conditions but they are challenging conditions, it is not easy for the batsmen to score runs consistently. Australia’s team faltered in the second innings of both the Tests and Rohit said it shows how difficult it is to play in Indian conditions. That is the beauty of this game and the pitches we are playing on. It can happen to us too, not just them. I played 200 balls in Nagpur and never felt like I was comfortable. If any ball bounces less then you can be out.
