BCCI has announced the team for three test matches against England. Virat Kohli has withdrawn his name from the entire series citing personal reasons. For this reason, Kohli missed both the initial test matches. Apart from Kohli, middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer is also out of the series due to injury. These three matches will be played in Rajkot, Ranchi and Dharamshala. The good news for the team is that injured KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja have returned, although they will need clearance from the medical team to take the field. On Kohli’s decision to remain unavailable from the Test series, BCCI said that they respect and support the decision of the former captain.

BCCI said this

BCCI said in a statement that the Senior Selection Committee has announced India’s team for the last three Tests of the Test series against England.
