The highlight of the Indian innings was Rinku Singh’s first half-century. He was present at the crease after scoring 68 runs in 39 balls with the help of nine fours and two sixes. He made a partnership of 70 runs in 48 balls for the fourth wicket with captain Suryakumar Yadav (56).
Suryakumar hit five fours and three sixes in his 35-ball innings and made a partnership of 49 runs in 24 balls with Tilak Verma (29) for the third wicket, bringing India back in the match. Ravindra Jadeja contributed 19 runs in 14 balls.
For South Africa, Gerald Coetzee took three wickets for 32 runs in 3.3 overs. However, Tabrez Shamsi impressed the most. He took the wicket of Suryakumar after giving just 18 runs in four overs.
Tilak hit four fours and one six in his 20-ball innings under pressure. Ravindra Jadeja scored 19 runs in the last overs by hitting one four and one six in 14 balls. During this, Tilak Verma got life in the first over. After this, he increased the run rate by batting fearlessly with captain Suryakumar Yadav.
Tilak did it against Yansen in the third over by hitting a six and three fours. Captain Suryakumar Coetzee was welcomed with two fours and a six. He completed 2000 runs in T20 International with a run against Williams in the fifth over and then completed his team’s half-century by hitting a six on a helicopter shot.
