New Delhi (Best Hindu News): There is a long standing dispute between the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Pakistan Cricket Board over the conduct of the Men’s Asia Cup 2023. Meanwhile, the BCCI has announced a 14-member Indian A team for the Emerging Asia Women’s Asia Cup to be played from June 12 this month. In this tournament, the Indian A team will start their campaign on June 13, while they will face Pakistan on June 17.
In the Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023, the Indian A team will get a chance to play 3 matches in the league stage. After playing their first match against hosts Hong Kong on June 13, India A team will play against Thailand A team on June 15. After this, India A will play their last league match against Pakistan A women’s team on June 17.
The responsibility of captaining the Indian women’s A team has been entrusted to Shweta Sehrawat. Shweta’s brilliant performance was seen during the Women’s T20 World Cup played in the beginning of the year 2023. Shweta scored the most runs for the team, scoring a total of 297 runs in 7 matches, including 3 half-century innings. The Emerging Asia Cup is being organized in Hong Kong. 8 teams are participating in this, which have been divided into 2 groups of 4 each. The Indian team has got a place in Group-A.
