India vs England: Jaiswal close to double century, India 336/6

Visakhapatnam. Young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (179 not out) is getting closer to a double century on Friday on the first day of the second Test against England, due to which India has scored 336 runs at the stumps after losing six wickets.

Jaiswal hit 17 fours and five sixes in his brilliant innings of 253 balls. At the time of stumps, Ravichandran Ashwin is present with him after scoring five runs in 10 balls.

While Jaiswal is on his way to a big double century, England have kept matters balanced with 6 wickets on a batting-friendly pitch. All the players of England are congratulating Jaiswal for his excellent innings of 179*.

All the other batsmen of India also got a start, but no one was able to convert it into a big innings or even a half-century. However, tomorrow morning Jaiswal, along with his senior Rajasthan Royals teammate Ashwin, would like to take India’s score beyond 400.

Captain Rohit Sharma was out after scoring 14 runs, Shubhman Gill 34, Shreyas Iyer 27, Rajat Patidar 32, Akshar Patel 27 and Shrikar Bharat 17 runs. But the day belonged to 22-year-old Jaiswal who scored his best score and second century. Earlier his best score was 171 runs.

Shoaib Bashir and Rehan Ahmed, making their debut for England, took two wickets each.
